This locomotive project began as one of Jim's hand me down locomotives.

Wasn't it the El Paso and Southwestern that had cabs like that?

I've seen this style cab roof on alot of the late 1800/early1900 locos . I'm not sure what the purpose was, maybe to venelate the cab or for iluminating the cab.
