Hello Everyone---another good day for railfanning, sunny with the temperature hitting 9 degrees celsius.Usually I head out to Bayview as a starting point and caught a westbound Via
While at Bayview I noticed lights in the distance of a CP train heading east out of Hamilton so I headed over to Old York Rd. hoping to get a picture of this train as it approached Waterdown---these are the first pictures I've taken at this location---here's some of the action
My last stop was Kinnear Yard where I spotted a trio of Geeps

Thanks Bruce---so far it has been an unusual winter with temperatures above normal and very little snow, but it's not over yet---Mother Nature may still have some nasty surprises up her sleeve.
Here's #3111's mate,well-weathered #3057.Both locomotives offer modeller's a nice contrast between weathered or non-weathered models---what do you prefer ???

Hello Everyone---Val (Spitfire),Doctor Wayne and I had a chance to check out another of Hamilton's treasures--- The Canadian Warplane Museum.Believe it or not, they even have Barney Secord's Stearman on display. The museum is home to the Mynarski Lancaster bomber, one of only two operational Lancaster's left.If you're planning a trip to Hamilton,I highly recommend taking a tour of this museum. Thanks again to Val and Wayne for an enjoyable day. Here's a few photos starting with Barney's Stearman
BTW---you can book a 1 hour flight on the Lancaster for $2500

2500 bucks to fly in a Lancaster isn't really that bad, but I have no intentions of leaving Terra Firma ever again. I have flown one flight too many.
Great photos, but where were the flanges on the wheels?

Hello Everyone---the last time I saw Canadian Pacific GP 38-2 #3111,she was mated with a well-weathered sister #3057.I spotted her again at Kinnear Yard yesterday, this time with a spiffy looking sister #3048.Both these locomotives were recently overhauled at the EMD-Progress Rail plant in Mayfield Kentucky---two thumbs up for the boys in the paint shop for a job well done

Hello again---GP 9 8200 takes her turn as part of the Kinnear Yard switcher--- note the unique square boxed end

Hello Everyone---even though I'm a big CN fan,I have to admit CP's Kinnear Yard in Hamilton is fast becoming one of my favourite spots to railfan.I stopped by there this morning around 9AM and this is what I spotted in the yard---the bonus was CP GEVO #9372,one of the railroads newest diesels

Those are some great close ups. I like the shots with the cab door open. It's a nice detail.

Hello Everyone---spotting GP9s is usually the norm at CP's Kinnear Yard but today I was lucky to see some of the older girls on the Canadian National, including a rare Grand Trunk unit. Here's some of the action
