Sending my season's greetings and hope for peace, happiness and good health to the Big Blue family. It certainly looks like it's going to be a white Christmas here in the Great White North---fortunately the Leetown Division always seems to have fair weather.
though this is not an eagle catching some rays but a black vulture at about 400 yards from our side porch. they come here every winter i guess they are true snowbird's .

I recently acquired some trains that were in my friends collection when he died and I have discovered that it is more fun when you diversify your modeling.
I worked on a railroad and I loved it, but it was work however and there were rules, Model railroading is more enjoyable when it is done for fun,
I see no problem running a Thomas train or any other item that pleases me and I can change time frames at will,
Here is a picture of a 3 truck Shay crossing Morris Trestle.

After the realization of the ON30 LUCKY LUKE layout and OSIRIS layout, I was frustrated to not have done an on30 mexican style layout. I was amazed by the beautiful village of San Lorenzo done by Verne NINER that I discovered in 2014. I'm also very impressed by the 0n30 mexican style of PUERTO BORRACHO and few others. I want to have mine also in a derelict style, mexican with adobe style building, mexican revolutionary period. Because it's an harbour, I will have a steamer ferry.
Because I made it for exhibition, I will use the same design in term of size as LUCKY LUKE.
Just as a reminder, today is December 7th, the day that we lost almost 2,500 men at Pearl Harbor. I remember that day 81 years ago, but was still too young to know the significance of what was happening. The next four years were also hard to forget, but remember what it took to keep the enemies from reaching the mainland.
There were these hard to forget final words in the movie, Tora, Tora, Tora, "I can't imagine anything that would infuriate the Americans more. I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve." I wonder if we would have that same resolve today.
Please, take a minute today to say a prayer for and thank all those that fought on both fronts...
Taking a break from the Machine shop build to tackle this:
A really neat little kit of a Christmas tree dealer. It's available from Interaction Hobbies as a special Christmas give-away if you order 30$ or more. I had my eye on a couple kits from their web site and this caused me to pull the trigger.
The kit includes the caboose tree farm shack, three cut-out Christmas trees and signage. I need to get started on it as I promised my wife the finished model by Christmas.
