Gize: am trying to install DCC on Bowser k4. Am using skew wound open frame that Bowswer said would work for DCC . It draws 1/2 amp. I wired up digitrax decoder per instructions. How do I mount the motor so it is isolated from frame? I have been told this new motor does NOT need to be isolated, but I have my doubts. The issue is the S shaped brass mounting plate. I requires a long 2-56 through the magnet. The do not seem to be nylon screws that long in the Google search. Is there something I am doing wrong. Have wasted two decoders and am trying to install a third one.
Am i doing the impossible? thanks
