The last two PMs I "sent", as in wrote the message and clicked on "submit", went to the outbox. Q. I have looked, how do you get the message from the "outbox" to the receipient ??? Neither of them showed up in "sent mail". :?: :?: :?:

This is an Athearn GP38-2 I picked up recently. The shell is rtr quality and the chassis is the old blue box spline shaft drive with brass worms and has that characteristic Athearn growl that I like to hear.

It'll be lashed up tail to tail with this old warhorse I just rebuilt:

  paper backdrop cement ?
Posted by: nomad - 12-16-2008, 10:39 AM - Forum: Tips and Tricks - Replies (16)

Any of you use printed paper back drops? I printed up some building pictures for my backdrop, and am wondering what to use to fasten them to the backdrop to keep them flat without the ink running. Right now I used clear tape to see how they look, but it looks hoaky. Nope

How do we "edit" a post.
Posted by: Russ Bellinis - 12-16-2008, 10:31 AM - Forum: Forum Problems and Requests - Replies (11)

I have a cordless keyboard and mouse by Microsoft, the store was sold out of Logitech keyboards and mice when I bought it. My keyboard frequently drops letters as I type, and if I hit the post button before I proof read, errors show up. On the old board I did a lot of editing my posts because I did most of my proof reading after I had posted. I don't see an edit button on this new forum.

I will have to do some shuffling of pics around, but construction began yesterday. Granted, I only did the first few steps, as I had alot of filing to do on the frame. There was an amazing amount of mold flash on it, and the rear drawbar assembly as well. That aside, the drivers are all installed, as well as the drawbar assembly for the tender. I am going to have to do some more filing though, as the geared driver is binding a bit Shoot . Today I start on the valve gear. I have to make a stop at the LHS and Home Depot. I need some better lube, and a few small round files.
Once again, my wife has taken our camera to work, so I will add pics when I have them to add, and I figure out where to host them.

  External links?

Is it possible to have external links open a new window/tab by default, rather than navigating away from "Big Blue"?

Thanks,

Andrew

Hi Mikey, and friends of old. This is more like it! Thumbsup

Don't you hate changes you have no control over? I sure do. I never was able to run with the old forum once it was sold and such a large crowd of strangers seemed to take over. I felt lost in the shuffle, as I'm sure some of you did too.

I've been bumping around on one forum or another, but The Gauge was my first and for a long time the only one that I posted to. I read through the list of folks already signed on and I'm glad to see so many names I recognize.
Hi there, you guys! Waveof7

Well, what can I tell you? Not much modeling going on right now around my house. I'm in the middle of installing a ceramic tile floor throughout the house. That and taking care of my Deborah, who recently got out of hospital after major surgery.

Anyway, I look forward to catching up with my old friends.
