I had tortoise switch machines in HO, but then again I never had a yard. I want to use ground throws on my new layout for the yard. Suggestions? I don't care if they aren't the most realistic, I only care that they work well and are reliable. I am using Atlas code 55 #5 turnouts. Do I need to power the frogs? My only engine as of now is a Proto RS-2. I won't have anything shorter than that. Thoughts? Thanks.

I was looking through the forums and noticed that we don't have a track planning forum. I think we have enough bugs and glitches in the system that putting up another forum is probably not a high priority, but I thought I would throw this one out for future consideration.

Every time I try to navigate around the site I keep having to sign in. In addition I cannot add this site to my favorites because for some reason my Internet access does not have you listed. I'll give it a day or so, maybe a few bugs have to worked out. Looking forward to seeing some of you all again.

The January issue of RMC has an article on LInn Moedinger's HOn3 layout. For those who don't recognize the name, Linn is the president of the Strasburg RR. I'm not in HOn3, but I read eveything train related that I can get my hands on. Some other good stuff in this issue.

Hello all, this is the first time I have ever tried to post "Foe-Toes, to borrow a phrase from Doc. Wayne", so if it doesn't work, I'll keep trying till I figure it out, and I know there is a lot of work to be done on my HO layout, ie. blasting and much more, but this is where I am at at the present, and only aprox. 15% is this far along, so I will keep updating as I get more near completion. Well here goes nuttin Well sorry guys, I spent an hour trying, but by the time I reduced them to the required 79KB Max size, they were too small to make out any detail at all, I must be doing something wrong, or misunderstood something, but I reduced them to around 75KB, and when I previewed, they were around 2" X 2", and very blurry.

| Avatars & font size.... |

Hi...I've tried every which way to place an avatar in my profile, but I've only seen an "EDIT" option, which doesn't allow me to place one....
Also, I've tried enlarging the font so's I can read without having stick my nose up against the screen (old eyes...), but It doesn't respond to the font size option in IE. I tried changing the size in the old forum, and it adjusted it right away....
Any help would surely be appreciated.

leasing company name for my layout has been picked.
I decided on Canadian Locomotive Leasers
Roadname markings will be CLLX
the name i liked best was already in use and this way i keep the too serious modellers from being confused and telling me i am doing something wrong
all the non CN fleet with get a coat of Black Primer and get the roadmarkings painted over the next little while
first unit to be painted will be the new MP 15 . black with white lettering
will post pics when i get the letter from the local supplier
