Tom, When the car gets back here I'll try to remember to take the photos with these locos, WP FTA-B-F7A
[attachment=7411]
and this caboose.

If I forget, it will be the Cindys Harbor FTA-B-F7A kitbash I did, that was inspired by a photo of the WP locos.
Tom - If you need to keep the car a few extra days - that's cool. I am on a business trip this Sunday until Wednesday night.
Tom,

Let me echo what others have said, those are some great pics on a nice layout. I was not able to visit the photobucket pics, they would not load for me. Probably user error on my end.

VERY nice. I am at the WP RR Museum right now and just got done watching our mechanical guys replace an air line in one of our F7's. The pipe going to the main reservoir looked like swiss cheese, but they brazed it and all is well now. Is that a brass caboose or a kitbash?
I remember, that WP converted some old box cars to cabooses. Mine was a Model Die Casting, 50' Ext Brace Box Car,
( lettered for WP ), that got kitbashed.

The loco photo, was in the April 1975 MR.
Any update on the status of the tour? I'm just noticing its been a while since any kind of an update. It's been the one thing that has kept me motivated, forcing me to get off my backside and get projects completed on my layout. The closer it gets, the more I'll feel like its crunch** time for me. Confusedhock:

** This is meant in no way to imply that the Anniversary Car or things on my layout will get crunched leading up to and/or the car's arrival... Misngth

You took the words out of my mouth. I was kind of wondering what is going on myself. I really enjoy the pics and stories.
Been waiting my turn...I just got permission from a local club to take pics on their layout... Thumbsup

Our tax guy used to take a Nestle Crunch bar out of his desk and hand it to us to soften the blow if we were to pay anything that year. "Okay...it's crunch time", he'd say...ha ha. Icon_lol

Let's see more pictures before this thread gets too far off track.

Somethin' was by my door when I came home from work. 2285_
Man it's GREAT to see that again!!! Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin
I agree. Get that thing rolling now.
I was just looking at the map of the tour and noticed it goes over Mexico when it leaves Arizona. Do we need to be concerned with its safety?
Nice close up shot! Thumbsup
The special boxcar was coupled into a train with two other cars of the same railroad: The Gauge gondola #2000 (a predecessor to Big Blue and Gauge railroad), and BB&G gondola #2009.

PS, you can see some of my new scenery in this photo. More later.
