Those have got to be the sorriest-looking tankers in existence.....

Here's one in a little better shape....It's from my ol' man's collection (early 50's). I believe it's an Athearn or Varney kit.

They do look bad, but if you will notice, they were brand new. I think they must be headed for a paint shop somewhere. The rust appears to be around all the welded areas.

Wish I had a lot of prototype pics like some of you guys.
But I did see a TruSweet tank.

Forgot where I got this, when I got it, but I know why I got it.
Ed, Don't worry about having prototype shots. If I had model shots I would be posting them too.
Your modeling work is a pleasure to see and this thread makes you guys show off more of your work.

Wow Wayne, great looking car.
You guys have just about run me out of tank cars, I may have to scan some more if this keeps up.
Thanks, Charlie. Wink I can't believe that it'd be possible for you to run out of photos, though - man, what a diverse collection! Thumbsup Thumbsup

I made this model from an Athearn 62' tankcar, using a sketch that I made of the prototype (didn't have a camera with me). Misngth
