I really miss them. They were not as bad as the railroads thought they were. I knew a mechanic that worked at Conway and he said the big Centurys were the easiest to work on the prime movers. Given time and an electrical partner they could have easily survived.

Hi Charlie---some of them have survived---here's one at Steamtown (Scranton PA)---Both the CN and CP rostered a large fleet of Montreal Locomotive Works built Alcos and I was fortunate to see and hear them running through Hamilton

Next summer I will be making a trip to see and photograph that railroad. I think Western New York and Pennsyvania also has a 6 axle century on their roster.
