Here's CNR 6060, the regular power Wednesdays and Saturdays, on this Niagara Falls to Toronto run, during the mid-'70s:

How did we go from CP to CN then back to CP?
viperman Wrote:How did we go from CP to CN then back to CP?

Brian's photo of the Indiana and Ohio unit had what appeared to be a CP unit in the picture (turns out it was ex-CP), prompting Bruce's shot of the CP SD40-2. That was followed by more CP from Mister Nutbar, then a CP covered hopper by you. The covered hopper following that is a CN car, my shot of the steam loco is also CN, as is Nutbar's view of the model steamer. Charlie's picture from Toronto is also of a CN unit, this time a diesel.

The game matches allowable include roadnames, locomotive or rolling stock types, or, the most seldom used option, road numbers.

We're not yet back to CP, so in order to move on, we need either a picture of an FPA-4 (CN was the only buyer of this model when new, but there are other roads which acquired the units used), or something else CN (freight car, passenger car, truck, building, etc.) or, if you can read it, anything with the same number.

I've got more FPA-4s, but here's a CN GP40W-2 (I think Wink ) at Grimsby, Ontario:

The station, by the way, while also in use as a bar/restaurant in the photo, continued to function as a station until 1994, when it was destroyed by fire. The town is still served by both VIA and Amtrak, and may also host GO Transit trains in the near future.

The N de M car is from the same road as its preceding picture and was obviously at one time, a boxcar. The Alaska Road car is also a boxcar, albeit one that appears to be a converted troop carrier. No cheatin' involved. Misngth Goldth

I missed that 2nd covered hopper. Wallbang

Anyway, since the last picture was a boxcar:

If you took the original rules seriously there is a lot of cheating going on. As long as it is kept suttle I don't have a problem, as the green NDM cab car/ Alaskan troup carrier, playing off the second unit, f/7/F9/E8 etc. It opens it up to a few more people and the original idea, which I started on the other place, was to display photos for everyone to see. Cheers
Happy Thanksgiving Thumbsup
