Greetings, gang.

The wind and temperature are playing the numbers game again to see who will come out on top. Both are predicted to be near 40 today along with off and on chances for rain and snow. Same for tomorrow and then nice weather return on Saturday.

Grocery shopping accomplished yesterday. After lunch I stopped in to the new Harbor Freight store. Always fun and I did pick up some new solar rope lights for the Backyard & Southern. Busy day ahead. Gym this morning then "brown bag briefing" at the library at noon. Interesting talks provided by the library. Just something to do to get out of the house for a while. Then my Thursday beer and bereavement late this afternoon.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning all, screwed up and didn't hit, "post reply" for my last message Icon_redface , soooo, we start again. It was 7:00 and already 70 heading to the mid-90's.

Gas at a few stations have plummeted by two whole cents, $4.67, most stations holding at up to $4.89 (brand names)

Got a busy weekend, some friends coming in from out of town for some BS and poker. All of us are retired, but have been meeting now for around 45 years. We skipped a few thanks to the pandemic, so it'll be good to see then again.

I'll check in when I'm near my computer, meanwhile, Mikey and the rest can deal with any issues that come up.

Take care and have a great day and a fun weekend.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm soon to be a millionaire, Got a call that I won $5,800,000 in a Reader's Digest sweepstakes that I didn't enter in. Icon_rolleyes All I need to do is to call a number and leave some personal info. Darn it, I didn't write down that number, oh well, I guess they'll just have to keep all that money, and I get to keep mine as well.... Awesome
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy, 33, and not as windy as yesterday. 40 again today then the mid 50s tomorrow. 60s next week.

Busy day yesterday. Gym in the morning, lecture at the library at noon, and Thursday group late in the afternoon. The lecture was about a botanical garden about an hour south of me and how they do a theme each year. This year's theme was "home." After the presentation I asked why home after having spent the last two years cooped up at home. She gave me a bunch of gobbledygook and then said "oh, and we plan these things 2-3 years in advance." She maybe could have led with that.

Don - enjoy your time with your buddies but don't lose so much you can't pay the mortgage!

All stay safe.

Tom
Good afternoon folks

It has been a a very pleasant day with temperatures in high 50's and mostly sunny.

We did some yard clean up and some planting. We then went to get our second Covid boosters.

Over the last couple of nights I finished wiring to the point where I could set up two blocks, one for the inside track and one for the outside track. I was able to test it with both DC and DCC. with the MRC power pack. I then hooked up the NEC Cab Controller Starter Set my daughter got me for Christmas. Everything worked with one loco. Now I need to read the manual and see what else I can do.

I hope everybody has a good day.
Greetings, gang.

25 and fixin' to at least double that by this afternoon. Sunny skies and only light winds so it should be a decent day.

Got something in my eye yesterday while swimming and gave up after less than a quarter mile. Then last night had a spring concert for one of the great-grandsons. Half hour drive to get there, half hour concert, and half hour drive home but always fun to visit with family. Also finally figured out how to get traffic updates and safety cameras on my new gps.

Soccer for great-grandkids at 9. Laundry and college football spring game this afternoon along with possibly a bike ride.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning folks

It is 43 and wet. High will be 53 with a chance of showers all day.

Arm is a little sore for the covid booster but no other side effects. Since we can't work outside we will work on the Easter decorations and some other indoor stuff.

I ran some trains last night including testing my newest loco a Broadway Limited Reading T-1. I cleaned up the piles of construction stuff on the layout. I organized all the loose track pieces, rail joiners, nails, etc into either bins, boxes, or neat piles. I still have a few trains to put away which I hope to do today. I then need to decide on what to tackle next. I should get back to my challenge project.

I have a feeling I will need to make a pharmacy run today.

I hope everybody has a good day.
Hello Blue
Cloudy and 40 today. Warmer next week.
The brown winter grass is slowly turning green.
Rain yesterday evening left a beautiful double rainbow.
A club meet tonight but it's in a member's basement and age tells me I don't want to be in a crowded basement, at least not yet.
Some people with all the shots are still getting covid.
S.J.
Tom's right - it's been weird weather all day... Rain in morning, near 60 in the afternoon, then 54 and breezy (chilly) at night,

Greetings, gang.

39 outside my window this morning with a predicted high in the 60s but with winds near 30 it won't seem all that nice out.

Had a decent day yesterday. Soccer in the morning then laundry and college football in the afternoon. After that I got in a nice bike ride. Not much planned for today. Formula 1 race starting in about a half hour. If the clouds move in as projected I may wash the car this afternoon. I'm also contemplating a nice long walk.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good afternoon folks

It is 44 with a high 49.

We ran some errands yesterday but not much else. We did finish the Easter decorations but not much else. My back is complaining about the yardwork and gardening we did the other day.

I never made it down to the layout or the workbench.

Today we are going to take it easy. I need to look over the layout and decide what is next. I should weather the hot dog stand and figure out where I am going to place it on the layout. For a change of pace I could tune up a few cars or weather some RTR cars. Maybe run some trains.

I hope everybody has a good day.

Weather forecast for the day.
Good morning all, just a quickie, got to get a guest up and out to catch and early flight, then I go home and take a few hour nap. It's been a fun weekend, but not without some issues. Lots of laughs, poker, 911 call, good food, a call to my chiropractor and little sleep. All-in-all, we had a blast for being a bunch of old farts....

Oh, that 911 call, my house guest is much more debilitated than we knew, he struggled to get around with his walker and fell. I didn't even try to pick him up, I was screwed up enough just trying to get him out of a chair, hence the chiropractor appointment I need. The fire medics came, got him standing and patched up. All went smoothly from then on once I got others involved in his care. BTW, he's doing fine, a few cuts and lots of bruises, but did win some in our poker games, and he does have a lot of explaining to his wife when he gets home....

Today should bring us to around the mid-80's, and then a few days in the 70's before it get hot again. And yes, Kermit's weather report is as accurate as most others. Waiting

Gotta go, you all have a great day, glad there were no issues come up here while I was gone, there usually aren't and that's a testament to the folks that post here and to how our webmaster keeps things running Applause
Greeting, gang.

Sunny and 30 headed for sunny and 60. Strong storms tomorrow and winds over 30 mph for the remainder of the week.

Off to get my eyes examined this morning and then to Des Moines to get the car looked at this afternoon.

Don - glad your friend is doing ok. Overall, it sounds like a fun weekend.

David - I think your post covers most places in both countries.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good afternoon folks

It is now 57. High was 58. It is a very nice day.

I had to cover some of the plants last night and bring in the window boxes due to there being a Frost Advisory for this morning. I uncovered everything and put the window boxes back out. The wife and I went to Kohl's to pick up a new vacuum cleaner. We took the pup with us. The dog is now passed out in her bed right now.

I did not make downstairs to the layout. I am hoping to make it down there sometime tonight.

I hope everybody has a good day.
