Good morning all, it's Saturday and yes, I got two extra hours of sleep. I'll bet I could do that everyday if I took the opportunity. That's what happens when you get this old.

Yup, we got rain, almost 1/2" and there is a slight chance of some more today with temps below 70. Why, well it's snowing up north, Flagstaff had around 10" yesterday. Gas is going up faster than I can keep track of. $3.69 and up is common now, blaming it on the spring break and all this good weather we're having. Icon_rolleyes I'm glad I'm not in Florida right now with all those college kids running ramped. They'd come to Phoenix except they'd look funny walking around town in bikinis since the nearest beach is about 400 miles away.

Have a great day today and stay away from the beaches, just a suggestion....
Hello Blue
Sun and 50s for the day.
Gas last night was $3.75 some places and $3.49 at others. Me thinks they will all go to $3.75.
I went to the club house last night and 25 train nuts showed up. It was passenger train night and there was a good variety of trains.

Good morning.

It is currently 39 degrees and if we are lucky it may hit 58. Gas is around 3.099 and that is lower than it was the first of the week when I got mower gas.

I am going to decal some more cars today and try to figure a place to put the empty boxes. I see some are for sale on ebay. I don't consider the cars having the original box as a plus to their value. I know others do but they are no longer original once they are built and hard to run if they are still kits.  Icon_e_biggrin

Keeping all the friends and their extended families in my prayers.

Having a great week end

Good morning and a Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona duit! (In English, that’s Happy St. Patrick’s Day!)

That's it, this is a shot of my wallpaper today:

[attachment=42981]

'tis a bit damp out right now, it rained during the night, not likely that it'll rain anymore today. Not wearing any green today, I'm Ukraine/Austrian, but my kids are 50% Irish.

Take care and have a fun day.
Good morning.

We have a sunny but cool morning in southeast Ohio. 2 more cool days and a warming trend is to begin.

My brother and sister in law are coming for our monthly lunch so I will have a good meal and some good conversation and later go to the barn and decal some more box cars.  I ran trains for about an hour last night.

     Nothing else to report.

Good morning, not much going on here nor anything exciting coming up this week. It rained in the valley overnight, just not here. There's a chance today, then no much until the end of next week. I'm OK regardless, they sprayed pre-emergence weed killer on my yard so there's no chance of new weeds coming up for a while.

That's it for now, have a great week, stay safe, but have some fun as well.
Good Morning.
The current temperature is 31 and we have had a few flurries,

I have an older Toshiba laptop that I am thinking of using with JMRI to program my locomotives. I decided to reinstall Windows 10 so I did a computer reset. I got a screen message that this would take a few minutes.......I started at 4Pm and it completed the task at 12:45 this morning.  I don't use that computer much because it is slow but that was ridiculous.  I will try it out this morning. It should do what I want.

I wonder if Blue could reset the default font size to 5, it's easier on my eyes.  Icon_e_biggrin

I am wishing everyone a great week and a new season begins.

Greetings, gang.

Rather cool at 21 this morning. Cloudy now but it should clear off later with a high around 40. Much warmer tomorrow.

Slow weekend for me. I did go to dinner with my daughter and her husband Saturday evening. Out and about this morning with some grocery shopping. Gym this afternoon. Otherwise a quiet week ahead.

Gas was $3.09 except for one station that has extra special gas. I must be because they want $3.44 for theirs.

All stay safe.

Tom
Hi all. its Monday again, got the Tichy bridge finished look good but kind of a pain adding a walkway to it (just can't seem to build a kit that I don't modify some way). the only other thing is the wife told the washing machine won't turn on after the power failure we had Saturday its 4 years old guess it's time for a new washer.
stay safe Jim.
Howdy Everyone,

Well I had a few rough days and it started on friday when I woke up for the day. I ended up having a really bad migraine. I got up at 8 that morning and could barely open my eyes. I took medication and went back to bed. I ended up sleeping until 8 pm friday night. Was up for a couple of hours and was back to bed. Saturday came and went with a slight headache but I was able to do things. Yesterday was a much better day with no headache or migraine and I was able to finish C&I SW9 #33.

Today I took the fiance to her therapy appointment and then we went out to eat. We've been home since about 1 and she has been doing her online school work while I am just relaxing around the house for the day. We have a coaches meeting for youth baseball later then really have nothing else planned for the rest of the day.

Hope the rest of you are doing well and take care.

Jim, do some online research and you may find a fix. Our last washer was acting up and my wife found a fix. It really sounded stupid too, like open and close the lid 12 times etc but darn, it worked and we used it another 4 years before it started to leak so we did replace it.

Good morning everyone, not much happening this way, temps in the mid-70's today, mid-80's by the end of the week. Typical Sonoran Desert weather.

Been cleaning up my layout so I can get back to work on it. I procrastinate mainly because I still have some more track to put down, then a lot of wiring. The wiring I don't mind, it's the laying track that is a stumbling block. But I'm there and will get it done so I can start on the exciting parts, scenery and structures.

That's all for now, have a great day today, the first day of spring (happens later today). I wonder how they determine exactly the minute that happens? This year it's a few hours early. Waiting
Good Morning Everyone,

Well mother nature had a moment yesterday, last night and again this morning. There is that fluffy white stuff on the ground again. I would love to have the weather you're having Don but of course I live in PA where the weather is bi-polar as we call it lol.

Not to much going on today other than some more tinkering with the trains to get the running more smoothly. Last night I did fix the issue with C&I Engine #37. It didn't have a second worm gear in it as it stripped the one that was in it. I did dig through the parts I have and got it fixed. Now it's a little more powerful than the other engines but not to much. I am also on the search for a motor and worm gear assembly for the SW7 I have that way all five engines can run.

I should have six new Athearn C&I hopper cars arriving tomorrow in the mail. I got them off of ebay and at a steal to boot. I only paid $31.02 in total for all six of them. I don't think the guy knew what to start the starting price at and there was no way I was passing that up. I've been seeing where for just one is around $30, even at the local hobby shop so I jumped on them real quick. I also have another book on it's way about the C&I which from what I can see gives more detail and pictures of places not photographed before.

That is pretty much it for now. Off I go to stay nice and warm in the house and get some paper out to start laying out a track plan for the layout. Have a great day everyone and take care.
Hello Blue
Cloudy, windy, temp is 30 going into the 40s today.
I'm on meds for Bronchitis, so far I'm still hacking.
However, it's my wife's birthday so we will go out for lunch with some of her high school friends.
S.J.
Good afternoon folks

It is a bitter 41 with a high 0f 48. The cold wind this morning nearly froze me to death in the 5 hours I was out on the job site. I have been in the nice warm trailer for the last 2 hours and I still feel the cold in my bones.

This is the first time I have made it to the computer in two days. Yesterday, work was nuts. I started at 5:30 AM and went to 2:30 PM on the job site. I had to rush from work to my cardiologist’s appointment. She cleared me for the hernia surgery next month. Now I just need to get some bloodwork done. My Walthers Thru Girder bridge arrived yesterday and I managed to assemble one side.

Over the weekend I finished the other bridge except for the wing walls. I finished cutting out the space for the bridge. I removed some ties on the track so the track would fit on the bridge. I tacked down the track and ran several test trains over the track. I cleaned up the debris from cutting the foam and removing the track and ballast.

I hope everybody has a good day.
