Hello Blue
Cloudy and 20s for the day.
Just had some breakfast will now head to the basement, got some things to put away.
We have no need to go out today so tiss a good day for indoor things.

Greetings, gang.

It's sunny and 38 in eastern Iowa this afternoon. Temperatures will rise overnight and hit the low 50s by tomorrow. Along with the warmth will come some rain, lasting through Saturday when it turns to snow. Could get several inches by Sunday morning.

Son is home. Surgery went well. Soft food to start and firmer food as his mouth heals. Next appointment is Monday at 8. If all goes well I'll head home after that.

Thanks, Frank. I really do appreciate the concern.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning all, Tom, glad things are going well, hope for a better outcome this time.

Temps are down a bit and the wind up making it a chilly day yesterday, had to wear a jacket in the middle of the afternoon, while some snowbirds from back east were walking around in shorts and flip-flops. That's how you can sort out the locals from the visitors. Suppose to get rain later today. That's the only day they all agree on, percentage wise though, no continuity there. I'm told that there are several "models", each one with it's own sense of how things will turn out. Lots of influences and a slight change by Mother Nature can throw their guesses off. That's fine, all I know is that it's been colder than normal for most of this new year and I wish we would get back to what we're famous for.

Car auctions start this weekend. Lots of celebrities will be showing up, some selling from their collections, other here to buy. I'm sure there'll be a few going in the eight figures. I guess if you have the money and want bragging rights, those are the vehicles for you....
Morning.  41 and breezy.  Wind chill makes it cold.  Sunny.

Jim, tie those flies.

Prayers for Tom's son.  Glad things look good.

DAZ, keep those snow birds in line.

SJ, go get a haircut.   Icon_e_smile

Have a good one.
Chief got a hair cut last week.  Both are growing back very nicely now.
Good morning everyone, not a trace of rain here, supposed to have a fair to good chance last night, but it missed us completely. Makes me wonder about those that still have rain in their forecasts. Could be some errant storm heading up from the Gulf or the west coast though.

Got a bit more done on my layout. Problem is, I can't get a dirt road to look like I want. Got a few more ideas that could work, otherwise I'll wind up paving that road, that I should be able to get right... at least I hope I can. Icon_rolleyes
Greetings, gang.

It's a cloudy 32 in eastern Iowa this morning. Yesterday's high was 61 and we'll be paying for that over the weekend. Winter storm warning posted for tonight through Sunday morning. Rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow and 30 mph winds will keep most people indoors.

My son is doing ok. I haven't talked to him yet this morning but I know he slept a lot last night which is good. I'll be staying until Tuesday. He plans to work a full day on Monday but if he can't I'll be here to help out.

All stay safe.

Tom
Morning.  57 and mostly sunny.  Rain tomorrow night from all the mess out west and south of us.  Good luck to those in the path of bad weather.

Prayers for Tom's son.

Not much on agenda.  Go get some crickets for Wifey's pet/wild lizard in greenhouse for the winter.  She thinks he looks to thin.  Icon_rolleyes

Enjoy the day.
morning all cold here and they say it is going to get colder (mid 30's) . blood oranges are starting to get ripe , old tree is about to end of usefulness  , bt new one is commimg along nicely.
almost filled the dry box have like 13 slots left. (:   looks like might get one more rose if this cold snap don't kill it.
Hey, it's Saturday again. Funny how that happens every week. Seems like every few days though, weeks pass by way to quickly anymore. Temp outside right now suppose to be 38, not going out to verify that. Our highs are all in the 60's, pushing 70 sometime next week, what day depends on which forecast you follow.

Busy year so far, doing things right now that normally I don't get to until mid year, but there is a need to do them now, so another busy week coming up. At least the weather will be accommodating.

Have a great weekend... 2285_
Morning.  64, cloudy and real windy.  Resting up from a week of retirement.  Icon_lol

Hello Blue
Rain is the thing here. We were under that 8oo miles of rain clouds. I think it is finally passing to the NE. Tonight's issue will be the freezing.
S.J.
Good morning all, it's early and it's around 38, that's sub-freezing for us desert dwellers. Still supposed to be in the 60's until around mid-week where we get back into the 70's for a while. Even then, "they" show some rain later this week, but "they" can't agree on which days. No biggie, if it rains, it rains, otherwise we stay dry. Our last storm went north and produced lots of new snow even in Prescott which is at around 4000 ft.

It's Sunday, watched a bit of football yesterday, probably do the same today. I read where those poor player will only earn a meager $38,000 for playing today, but can get around $125,000 if they win the Super Bowl, half that if they lose. I guess you get that whether you play or sit on the bench. Not bad for us common folk.
Greetings, gang.

It's a cloudy 23 degrees in eastern Iowa this morning with a chance for some flurries later.

The power went out at my son's place about 4 minute before the kickoff yesterday afternoon. We finally checked into a motel. We'll be headed back to his place whenever he gets his lazy butt out of bed. Actually I'm quite content to let him sleep. That's probably the best thing for him right now. I'll make sure he's up and moving before check out time.

All stay safe.

Tom
