Morning.  Slept late which is good.  Feel better even after taking special meds last night.

Watching what is suppose to be the news.  Not news but slanted mess.

Errands later to get dog treats.

Have a great week ahead.
Good morning all. Frank, not only is the news skewed but I don't think I would ever be glad to see a car or cereal commercial, but I welcome them. If I were to believe those political commercials, no one is qualified to run. And we have five more weeks of them....shudder.... Wallbang Wallbang

Got rain in the forecast, 1-2 inches in the Phoenix metro area, but then again, like those politicians, there's a good margin for error there...
Well, what do you know?
2 FULL weekend days without a drop of rain near Philadelphia PA.  That hasn't happened in about a month.
Went to yard sales yesterday and a flea market today.
I didn't find a darn thing.   Curse

I'm just beginning to work on the layout to tune it up for our visitors during the Open Houses the last Saturday of this month.  Then I hope to visit other layouts all through November.

If anyone is interested they are all through PA, NJ, DE and MD

The schedule should be posted in the next few days.
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy, drizzly and damp are the weather words for today. Right now it's 48 headed for a high of 56. By Wed. the temp is supposed to be in the mid 80s. Then on Thursday it's back to the low 60s. Tuesday is the only day this week without rain in the forecast. The NWS is predicting 2-3 inches total rain by the end of the week.

Quiet day yesterday. Sat. afternoon I thought I found the problem with the bike tire. Looked like the valve core was loose. Tightened that up and pumped up the tire. By yesterday morning it was flat again. Pulled the tube and put some water in the sink to find where the leak was. Then checked the inside of the tire to make sure nothing was still in the tire. Tomorrow I'll need to get a new tube. Odd size. Walmart doesn't carry it and the local bike shop is closed today. Nothing else planned for today. but that may change as the day progresses.

All stay safe.

Tom
Morning.  Sunny and humid but not the summer humidity.  County Commissioners this evening.  Not much going on.  Megan Kelly has surprised us.  She is pro nominee.  Have a good one.
Good morning all, a rainy one at that. Hurricane Rosa is now a tropical storm, but we are starting to feel what's left. Some areas of the valley have close to 1/2" of rain, we here in Surprise are looking at 1/10th that (.04") Still more to come they say so there's still hope of that 1" to 2" in the forecast.

Not much else is going on, starting to repair some of my structures that got damage in all the recent moves we've had. Still don't know what I'll be able to do with them, layout or dioramas...
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 48 with a predicted high of 62. No rain today but it is in the forecast from tomorrow through next Monday with chances anywhere from 20% to 70%. The NWS has upped our predicted total for the week to 4-5 inches. The farmers will be complaining soon about not being able to get into the fields.

Quiet day yesterday. I did make it to the gym for the first time in a while. Also got some old files cleaned out. Up next is breakfast followed by a trip to the grocery stores and possibly to Menards for materials to repair the tunnel on the Backyard & Southern. Also need to get the new inner tube for the bike. The much needed new spark screen for the fire pit is scheduled for delivery today.

All stay safe.

Tom
Morning.  Warmer and more humid.  Where is fall???  Haircut day.  Town Board tonight.

Hope all OK.
Good morning all, yup, we have a really nice rain out there right now. There's already some street flooding and washes running up north. Big Bug Creek winds its way around roads and I think it's now flooding. It's hard to tell since the TV stations show flooding, but you don't know if that's from prior years or today. Anyway, we haven't talked to one person so far that objected to the rain. Maybe the will later today when the going home traffic is in full swing avoiding those flooded roads.
Greetings, gang.

Cloudy and 70 this morning in the remote reaches of northern Iowa. That's not a misprint. It's 70. When I went to bed last night it was 56. Supposed to hit 80 today. Then 54 for the high tomorrow.

Got groceries and the stuff to repair the retaining wall on the Backyard & Southern. Brought the wall in and cleaned it up. This morning I'll have to use my angle grinder to get the old landscape adhesive off. Then apply the new stuff and put it back in place.

Went to the bike shop yesterday at 10. Sign on the door said they were closed until noon on Tuesdays. Web site said 10 AM. Went back about 1 and door was still locked. Gave up on that project. Will try again today.

Don - I'd be happy to ship you some of our rain in exchange for some of your warmer temperatures in January and February.

All stay safe.

Tom
Good morning, yeah Tom, I'll have my people get in touch with your people to make the exchange. Icon_e_smile Just not right now since yesterday was a record rain day for around here. Phoenix had 2.25" yesterday for a total of 2.65 for the week. Here in Surprise, we had close to 1.5" not counting last night's rain. So for now, we're OK, but we'll see how that goes.
Busy day.  Still busy.  Passing through.  Edgecombe early tomorrow AM.
Greetings, gang.

What a difference a day makes. Actually, a 51 degree difference. Yesterday afternoon it was 87 degrees. This morning it's 36. Had very strong winds yesterday, over 30 mph. Today is sunny and clear with a predicted high of 53. Rain is in the forecast starting this evening and lasting through at least next Wed.

Got the inner tube yesterday and the bike is ready for the road again but the weather is not conducive to riding. Cold and still somewhat windy this morning. Also worked on the tunnel yesterday afternoon. The new adhesive I bought doesn't work so I'll have to get some epoxy. Next warm day to work on the tunnel will be Monday.

Not much planned for today but I will probably at least go to the gym. Also need to pay bills and do some laundry.

All stay safe.

Tom
Super tired.  Walked over 8,000 steps with bucket of seeds and food plots seeds.  All food plots sown.  Goodnight.
Morning.  Still tired.  Headed to meeting in Raleigh.  Then Florence disaster relief donations in Raleigh.  Then home [I hope].
